I found the book most intriguing, regarding the four runaways. It describes, each person, from butterfly, who is the fragile and delicate one to Crystal, which ends up to be the smart one of the 4 girls. Next comes brooke, she is one of the older of the four, who meets a lovely young man. She is also quite displeased with herself, as she cannot understand, things going on with her. last of all is Raven, this girls cops alot of slack regarding her racial background. I have found the book to be most excellent and would even recommend the other 4 books to the series, which is butterfly, crystal, brooke and raven. The author if these books is a genius, with using the imagination she has created with this world. I would highly recommend this book and any other books that Virginia Andrews Writes.Read full review
Ever since I read the Flowers in the Attic series, I became enthralled and wanted to read her other series. So far, the Orphans series is the second I have read from author V.C Andrews. While I enjoyed the miniseries, I felt Runaways was a little monotonous. It is nice to see the girls all together after their horrible adoptions gone wrong, but being on the run and always finding wonderful people to help them out didn't seem real to me. Also, everything with Gordon happens so fast it is hard to imagine that he really would let them get away easily. All in all its a good series and I would recommend it. C+
It is a real good page turner. I read the whole book in 1 day because I could'nt wait until the end of the book.
I like the writer v.c. andrews. I needed this book to complete the series. Half.com was the only place I could find it.
