I have long been a fan of Cold Steel products, you usually get a very good knife that is a good value for the price. I really like this one!!! This knife has a Scandinavian grind that makes it great as a bushcraft (outdoor survival skills) knife and offers a larger blade length than the Mora (Swedish) knife that I was using before....This knife has a comfortable handle that feels like some type of textured rubber material and the blade tang runs the full length of the handle. The sheath is a durable plastic material with a strong steel clip that can be worn many ways other than just on a belt, such as in the waistband of pants or in a tall boot. I also plan to use this knife next hunting season. I would recommended this knife to anyone looking for a good high value knife for self defence, outdoor use, or as a hunting knife....I would also like to note that Cold steel also makes a smaller version of the knife and that they usually come with a razor sharp edge....Also, if you prefer a different sheath the Ka-bar BK15S Cordura sheath for short Becker knives fits like a glove, except that the lower handle strap is a bit tight, especially when brand new. The Ka-bar short leather sheath also fits the knife well.Read full review

Sharpest knife I've ever seen. Like a thick box cutter with a hard rubber handle. Blade is polished. Nice size for edc, hardly know its on you. I cut the sheath where it overlaps the handle to about 18mm in front and 58mm in back, can pull it out now with about 3.5 fingers over it. In the boot it's fine how it is though im sure. Thin comfortable handle, concealable but thick enough to use for an extended period. Very versatile design.

This is the SLIMMEST, BEST BUILT, SHARPEST, BEST VALUE, boot knife I have ever purchased. Almost every time I buy a piece for this express purpose it's a disappointment. They're either too fat and chafe against the leg or they're so small they defeat the purpose of carrying it as a backup. This piece came - out-of-the-box - sharp enough to shave hair off my forearm. Until now the only knives I'll bet my life on that aren't fixed blade are Cold Steel because of the demonstrations of their patented lockback system. This fixed blade is no different.

The thuyssen krupp 4116 steel is very stainless and has been in and around water while ice fishing and cutting bait as well a clearing lightly refrozen ice holes in the lake. The edge will roll with hard use but sharpens easily. Good product from COLD STEEL. Just wish it was made in the U.S.A. And would have paid extra for that but Taiwan will have to do.

This is a solid hunk of steel from tip to tail with an overmolded rubber grip. The blade is razor sharp with a fine stabby tip. The spine is nice and square if you wish to strike a fire steel. The handle is dense rubber, and it is thin, but still comfortable. The sheath works well, it holds tight with no rattle. You can put the blade in any orientation, which is brilliant. The strong clip goes around your belt, pants waist, pocket, backpack, whatever. This is a really solid, compact package that I will trust my life with.
