Good sound that will enable you to hear subtleties you have not heard before. Nothing to say about the music...it's a true classic...an overpriced classic, but a classic none-the-less. The regular disc re-mastered is a much better buy, but if you are as anal as I am...

I heard things on this disc that I had never heard before....and I've had this album since 1971. A revelation and worth every penny I spent for it. You get the DSD 5.1, DSD 2.0 and the remastered CD all on one disc. My ears are still saying WOW!!

Great separation and clarity, but where is the bass? The 40th Anniversary edition definitely tops this one, with tons of deep, pounding bass.. This album is one of the few Doors albums that has a heavy bottom end, due to the fact that they had no full time bass player. If you're picky about bottom end, skip this disc.

But I guess that's what these are going for now. But I'm a die hard fan so I had to have it.
