It just works. Holds a charge real well. Does a fine job with daily use, good with a 2 day beard and after that I'll use a razor but really, much better than I expected. I am 58 and this is the first electric razor I've used since the 70's and that didn't go well. I've had this for 2 weeks and not needed a re-charge yet (but soon I'd guess) nice feature set and it seems like it will last. I'm pretty picky and I do my research as well and al in all, I'm very pleased with this. I think with an item like this there are a ton of factors that can affect overall results so YMMV, but for me - It just works.

This shaver is not for the heavy bearded. If you are light bearded you may have some success with this shaver. I did not feel that wet shaving worked well for me. Wet facial hair seems to have greater difficulty finding their way into the foil. It takes me 5-10 minutes to shave and get a smooth, clean shave, making several passes. I will likely upgrade soon to a model with better performance. I have a very light beard and usually shave every other day or so.

This is the second Series 3 I've owned. The first was faithful for many years, but I had to replace it when the trimmer finally broke. This new one is a fine shaver, just like the old one was for me. I like the new feature with a timer that reminds you when to change the shaver screen.

Good basic shaver. The precision trimmer feature is worth the higher cost compared to the cheaper series 3 shavers. Replacement cutter asy. not cheap but it restores shaver performance to new.

I had a Braun Series 3 shaver that just died after 3 years and 4 months( the start/stop button stopped working) that I used apron 350 times/year and bought for $40 so I thought that was good value. I decided to try the new model and I can say that it has a longer lasting battery(the charge lasts longer) and cuts better a a 2-day beard. We'll see how long this item lasts, but so far so good.
