If you lived through the Eighties, and are any KIND of romantic, then you probably watched "Beauty and the Beast." Well before there was a talking candlestick, there was Ron Perlman as a fangy hairball, and Linda Hamilton as his love interest. Eventually, Hamilton tired of the series, and it pretty much "jumped the shark" in writing her out of it. But while it thrived, it was very sweet, and a part of thatnsweetness was Lee Holdridge's lovely theme and incidental music, as well as Ron Perlman's reading aloud poetry that he had sent to Catherine (Hamilton). It is schmaltzy, corny, lovely, and romantic as hell. Forbany fan of the series, it is a sweet amble back in time almost forty years, and the renewal of a love story for the ages.

I love this television show. When Vincent speaks or recites poetry it is so soothing and relaxing. His tone is so soft and sweet, yet he makes you feel as you are in the moment with him. I love Tennyson, Longfellow, Frost and many more. He recites these poems so eloquently. I Love This Recording. If you like poetry and you like the way Vincent spoke in Beauty and the Beast, you will love this soundtrack.
Ron Perlman's voice is so beautiful, reading different poems, it just melts your heart. This is the 3rd one I've bought.....I ended up giving the other 2 to friends who enjoyed it as well. Wasn't a huge fan of the tv series, watching only the first season....but as I said....Perlman's voice is the key factor to enjoying this cd.
