I use the dishes everyday, as does my family. They are holding up beautifully and are much lighter weight than my old dishes, making the cupboard weight not as heavy. Also, the mugs do wonderfully in the microwave, though the sides of the cup are hot to the touch, the handles remain cool. Also, the cereal bowls are very deep (seems to be how they are now made across the brands) and they don't fil well on the bottom shelf of my dishwasher and the fit slightly better on the upper shelf. However, they come out sparkling. The Dinner dish is very large (they almost didn't fit in my upper cabinets), but it is the perfect size and match to with my antique set of Liberty Blue dishes and can act as a charger. Our everyday dishes are in the Mikasa Countryside pattern. We manage to drop, crack, chip or otherwise mar the occasional item. So— I searched pattern offerings and found a virtual treasure. Prices don’t compare with those that I found new from high powered stores. And— I’ve never been sent a “worn out “ item. I’ve even found the occasional piece in my fine china which may be out of date and not sold anymore— but I can find it at eBay.
