This is definitely one action movie starring one of my favorite stars, Naomi Repace, that l couldn't pass up. She is a versatile character that has quickly become noticed by her broad range of different roles she can easily portray. In this video and the other two, she shows off her ability to portray the dark action young lady needed to pull off this part in the picture. Once you see this picture, you will see that it is necessary to see all three of the videos in this collection. I strongly recommend them all.

i've written this up before! it IS spellbinding, but starts off pretty slow! it takes about 20~30 min. to get caught up in its' spell!. a muder mystery that has all kinds of twists and turns. noomi rapace is better in this original, than the daniel craig version's female protaganist...(just MY opinion)

Stieg Larsson's hit novel comes to DVD in this tale of two investigators who are trying to solve a 40 year old murder. Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander are met with resistance from the family members as they look into this mystery. Mikael Blomkvist is a journalist who has been convicted of libel against a powerful industrialist. As he awaits the commencement of his sentence he is hired by a wealthy family to investigate the disappearance of a young girl that took place 40 years earlier. During the investigation, Mikael gets help from "the girl with the dragon tattoo", Lisbeth Salander. Mikael soon finds out that Lisbeth has a brilliant mind and a strong will and she quickly becomes the driving force of the investigation. Published after the authors death in 2004, the popular series of books (The Girl Who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest and The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) have been very well received by readers. This is a Swedish movie with English Subtitles and is a total of 152 minutes so be prepared for that. It is hard to sit through that length of time having to read all of the dialogue but the movie is worth it. However, there are some very disturbing images in this movie. Some graphic sexual scenes and some very disturbing murder scenes of young women. Cast includes: Ingvar Hirdwall, Lena Endre, Marika Lagercrantz, Michael Nyqvist, Noomi Rapace, Peter Andersson, Peter Haber, and Sven-Bertil TaubeRead full review
For once, the film is as good as the book. In fact, some scenes are better! This is one you will want to own, if you like mysteries. Lots of twists, but not so many that it becomes convoluted. Set mostly in rural Sweden in the winter, the film captures the atmosphere perfectly. The pacing is just right, and all the characters are interesting. Lisbeth Salander, played by the remarkable Noomi Repace, is fascinating to watch—she's a brilliant hacker/investigator who refuses to become a victim. I can't think of a single US actress who can match her performance in this role. The character is complex-lots of layers under the hard exterior. When she teams up with investigative reporter Mikael Bloomkvist (the wonderful Michael Nyqvist), you can bet this is not your typical "buddy" movie! Note: the original title of the book was "The Men Who Hate Women", and you will find many scary men in this film, as well as several violent/graphic scenes. Not easy to watch, but so necessary to the story. Throughout the book, the author Stieg Larsson quotes a number of statistics of crimes against women-evidently a big problem in Sweden.Read full review
I have the English one and just received a Swedish one (i think its swedish) lol. And the plot is the same but I like the swedish one more for some reason. I wonder how many more languages there are and the difference in each. Overall, awesome movie!! AAAA++++
