The Angel season Five was exciting Saddening, Maddening, and so much more. Like all series shows through time they take our characters from us and with every one we feel the loss. Never have liked that part of the series game but Like others I am thankful for the series and the talent of the actors who after all bring the story to life and draw the fans into the story line. All In All the final Episode runs you through the gambit of excitement anger sadness and loss but leaves you with a sense of completion also. Not many series do that so I am Happy they did that for us here. Watch it and you too will be Happy you took the time to watch it. Enjoy!

I really liked this season. It felt a bit like season 1 where things seemed episodical but had a subtle arc to it, and like season 2 where it had Angel in this dark place where nobody understood him. There are some good special features, but again no deleted scenes. Which is sad cause the finale was very rushed and could have used a director's cut. The commentaries are good, and there's several. But Jeff Bell didn't have to try to justify the ending as good or fitting. We know the show was canceled. We know it wasn't the intended series finale. We know Whedon failed to consider the network would cancel it and plan for it. Trying to justify it just sounds lame. Whedon gave a great ending to Buffy...twice. So it's sad this show ends in limbo. There is no closure...except fan fiction (& comics). But the story the show told over the 110 episodes was awesome. The art work for the box is nice. I guess they are implying Spike is Angel's new love interest as he is on the cover with Angel (in place of the usual Cordelia). However the disc holders are weak and break. You will need a separate case to store them in so they don't get scratched. As the other seasons, it has a booklet that tells you the episodes, who wrote & directed them, and the original airdates. They also stuck the security device in a place you can't remove it or it will rip & damage the paper.Read full review

This is both my favorite and least favorite of the seasons on ANGEL. I bought it separately because I knew and LOVED that Spike was 'back' and making sure everyone knows it. He gave it that much needed class and twisted humor that Angel never quite mastered. The interplay between the them as the 'two vampires with a soul', trying to figure out which is REALLY 'The Champion', not just 'A' champion, was great. Yet a lot of the episodes have lost a bit of their otherworldliness and they felt a bit too much like the everyday evil we already face, where the good guys can and do lose... (And I could watch the news for that.) However, they did manage to sneak in a few of the old 'cute' type episodes, especially when Harmony finally got one almost all to herself. It could have been waaay to 'campy' but it actually worked well. Too bad that character finally nailed it as the series went the way of a staked vamp. And the episode with Cordelia (#100) is a must see. Even with all the extra darkness of a show that was counting down to cancellation, though, at the end (at least of the series), there still was a glimmer of hope for a few of the characters (and possibly an opening for at least a spin-off movie or two?? Oh, please, oh please!)Read full review

The only one issue was that the first disc holder was damaged and couldn't hold the disc in place. But other than that everything was ok.
