Great Book of Civil war History
If you are interested in history of the Civil War, this is a good book. It holds your interest. Shelby Foote is a very good author and historian. Best to read the entire volumes of three books.

Shelby Foote's trilogy of Civil War is a must read by students who want to understand the conflict. It is extremely readable and does not neglect the human dimension of this national tragedy. Required reading.
