Nice looking engine with just the right amount of detailing. At home on any 1950's era layout. Paint and decals are sharp and crisp. Color is the perfect "fire engine red" - just like those I remember seeing as a child. One negative - the hoses and ladders are removable. This might be a plus for some modelers but I found it to be an issue because the top hose falls off the engine very easily. Could be lost which would detract from the appearance of the model. I recommend using a small amount of a clear drying adhesive to tack down any items that fall off easily.

This is a very detailed and sharp looking model of a vintage fire truck. There's definitely a lot of thought put into the design and manufacturing process. Unfortunately the piece appears to be a little smaller than other ho scale vehicles. It looks to be more like 1:90 scale instead of the typical ho scale / 1:87. A for effort but a little disappointing when compared to other ho scale vehicles. Please see attached photos.

Nicely made and nicely detailed little fire truck. Style of the front end of the truck is not too recognizable if it is parked inside a firehouse. The hoses fit loosely and are hard to keep in place when you handle the truck. Truck is over-priced in my opinion when compared to comparable HO scale fire equipment.

Woodland Scenics models in general, and the fire engine particularly, give lots of attention to realism and detail. They're not toys, but small works of art that nicely enhance my HO scale layout.

It’s a good model of older fire trucks. Late 40s,50s, 60s in particular. Doesn’t have too much chrome on it either. As older fire trucks didn’t have a lot chrome, usually had painted wheels.
