Reunited after Jean's death, the X-Men go to Japan following the abduction of a mutant student named Hisako. Sensing that Hisako's disappearance is important to the mutants, Professor X calls on the X-Men for help. Professor X has been having a dream about a young boy but doesn't know why. They confront the U-Men, a cult that steals and transplant mutant organs to strengthen their army; A young boy named Takeo, who has powers so strong it puts the earth and humanity in danger; and Professor X is reunited with a colleague named Yui from his past, who is working on a serum that suppresses mutant powers; Mastermind who is trying to manipulate Takeo for his own wicked plan. The X-Men and Professor X realize Takeo has the power to distort all reality and destroy humanity. But can they stop him? The battle for justice, humankind and mutants ensues. This has lots of action and graphics. That poor kid that turned into that ugly monster! WOW! The graphics and drawing is nice and the new costumes is nice, too. I liked it. This X-men version is very different. For one thing, the style is drawn as anime which is nice. Not so comic book looking as the other versions. Just wished this was done like this in the first place.

Very good mini-series with awesome plot and character developement. I've seen everything that have been done on the X-Men in term of movies and animated series, and I got to tell that this anime series is among what's best. Great respect of the source material with a japanese flavour added. I would recomment it to any X-Men fan who want to see something new without any re-hash, but still with these good old characters. Unfortunatly, don't expect to see a lot of secondary characters cause this series focus mostly on the main team members. I mostly bought it by curiosity and can't complain.
it was a fun watch. the Armor character was annoying, and Emma was kind of out of character. but it was cool seeing an xmen anime
