This cookbook has been a much used reference book in my kitchen library for many years. It contains most of the standard recipes of American Cuisine and it provides information about many ingredients such as varieties, growing seasons, availability etc., as well as color photographs of many dishes. This book makes a thoughtful gift to young couples so that they will have an excellent resource for answering most of their questions about total food preparation.
This is the GREATEST cookbook ever. I collect cookbooks and used them often. I have at least 2 from every state in the U S and this has been without a doubt the best. You can get recipes for everything imaginable and they are easy to prepare, always delicious!
I love this cookbook, it has some great recipes and it has the most delicious pumpkin bread recipe.
