It bothers me that I enjoy this series so much. The evilness of some of the characters is palpable. You feel like you need to shower after viewing each episode -- but first you need to watch the next episode following. Kevin Spacey is great, but I especially love the character of Claire, played by Robin Wright. I just can't imagine any other actress of our era playing her with such cold, calculating cruelness. This couple personifies the cliché: "the end justifies the means"..... and the means are all evil.
