George W. Bush and his family paper dolls by Tom Tierney If you like collecting paper dolls, of famous leaders and presidents, this makes a great addition to add to a collection. The fact the collection came "uncut", I feel, will hold its value. The paper/ card stock has a nice glossy surface on each of the 32 pages which adds to making the outfits stand out. If you should choose to cut the paper dolls, directions are included inside the cover page as to how to cut the paper dolls and make stands for them. A brief introduction adan descriptive notes are included. The author, Tom Tierney, is well known for his paper doll collections and is someone I look for when making paper doll purchases. These paper dolls are published by Dover Publication Inc. This particular set will be donated to a children's museum as part of a display about Presidents of the United States. The paper dolls give an audience an opportunity to view costumes and outfits worn by presidents and their families. Great for ages 8 to 11- third to fifth grades. As an adult I enjoy just owning sets of uncut paper dolls and sharing a bit of history with grandkids. Synopsis: Entertaining collection recreates the wardrobe of the 43rd president of the United States, together with outfits worn by the First Lady Laura Bush and twin daughters Barbara and Jenna. Eight dolls are accompanied by 26 authentic, full-color costumes, including inaugural finery, ball gowns, business suits, sportswear, and more.Read full review
