If you're looking for a challenging piece for your railroad, this is it. It took me more than a day to just figure out how to install the motor drive. (Hint: you need to take the two white, plastic gears off of the manual drive to use for the motor drive.) Although this turntable doesn't have the traditional "pit", it doesn't detract from the appearance at all since ballast and scenic rock cover the problem. All-in-all, a good addition to your N scale road.

Ok...so it's not the most prototypical looking turntable, but it works quite well and appears to be quite durable. With a bit of modeling work, it could be made to look a lot more authentic. Pretty good for around $60 for a motorized version.

The rails are small and it is a killer to line up the approach and departure rails due to the tiny holes in the ties of n scale track. Also you have to be very close to the turntable to see when to stop the motor. There should be a signalling device to tell you when the turntable rails line up.

for the price, I was hoping that it would have been heavier built than it was
