A much faster and easier read than JA's "Law" series books but "Half a King was quite engaging. Yarvi feels a bit like a whinier shadow of Tarion Lannister from "Game of Thrones," but I'm willing to forgive that. Don't expect any great surprises (the "twist of Nothing's character was easier foresee-able about 10 minutes after meeting him) but if you want the grit of "The First Law" or "Game of Thrones" but you're feeling too lazy to invest in such dense books right now, this will be a perfect fit
