I was born in the 60's...my music has to have an edge to it...and the Casting Crowns are just what I need. There is so much depth to their music and their hearts are pointed in the same direction as mine, towards the King Jesus. People say their music all sounds the same, but I think what they are trying to say is that you can spot their quality of music right off...it is always unique, never bottled, and Spirit inspired. Love this CD...get it for your collection!!!
I LOVE this cd! I've loved Casting Crowns' work before but it seems like this cd topped everything they've done in the past. It's impossible to find a song on the cd that you WON'T like! I saw them in concert and was blown away. Some of the songs they sang were from this new cd and as soon as I heard them, I instantly knew that I had to get it. If you are a fan of Christian music then this cd is a must for your collection. Whether or not you EVER bought a cd by Casting Crowns before; I know you will become a huge fan of them once you listen to this one.
Coming up on their fourth album the Crowns are making their mark in CCM history as one of the most requested artists on Christian radio. The tunes on this set begin to extend into different styles of music. A couple of songs are updates such as their redition of Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee and Glorious Day. Not straying from biblical based lyrics, yet they are simplified somehow to a singable style similar to the way Michael W. Smith writes. Overall, it's Casting Crowns on the refresh button.
This is a project you will want to add to your collection of music. Very uplifting.
