I've been a Judas Priest fan since the POINT OF ENTRY release, so I've been a fan of Rob Halford and Co. for going on 30 years now and I can tell you that his debut release with this side project, FIGHT, is an awesome one! Halford is truly the metal god and despite his advancing age, he definitely has NOT mellowed. Standouts on WAR OF WORDS include "Nailed to the Gun", "Into the Pit", "Immortal Sin" the Top Ten metal hit "Little Crazy" and the terrific power ballad "For All Eternity". It's very simple, if you are a JP fan, then you will enjoy WAR OF WORDS! I give it 5 out of 5 stars. Rock On, longliveneil
Great heavy hard hitting effort by Rob Halford for his first solo album release after leaving Judas Priest. Halford has proven once again his stand out vocal abilities with a new heavier attack in the music. Halford adds great vocal melodies to songs written with heavy duty bone smashing riffs. This album is a much different and more brutal take than what we were used to hearing with Judas Priest, yet the songs all stand out and deliver top quality metal. Also added to this brutal assualt are a couple of slowed down numbers that still hit home with Halford's trademark vocal talents.
Fight-War Of Words is a revolutionary album. Most of the songs on the album fit into the same category/ies as modern hard rock (though War Of Words was released in 1993). The song War Of Words is a scream at our most recent and current government for its blatent disregard of our civil rights. For All Eternity is a serated knife carelessly cutting a piece out of your heart (by which I mean it is a DEEP song...and very well orchesrated). Vicious (my personal favorite on this album) is that swift and constant kick to the head of your aggression. If you liked Priest, you'll LOVE Fight. -J.
Damn good disc, Halford definitely comes out fighting, considering this came out in the 90s still holds up well today

This is a great CD and a must have for any Rod fan. It's harder than Judast Priest and more gripping, it's like a punch to the gut that just will not go away. I can't say anything negative about it because it takes back to when I saw them Live when this album came out!!!!!!!!!!!
