I bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas. She had been wanting a record player for a while so I thought "what better gift than a Crosley!?". As I began shoppingI quickly realized how expensive they were. So that's when I got on ebay and found Second Hand Crosley. Not only was this less expensive than a new knock off brand player, it arrived in an original Crosley box as if I had just bought a new one! I opened it and everything was packed and wrapped as if I just grabbed it off the shelf at a store. Not a single scratch or defect. My girlfriend thought I had scored a brand new Crosley with what little money we had and has been sitting in front of it for hours every day since. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a good value for an awesome product.

The needle was broken when I received the record player. It was a bit of an ordeal replacing the needle because the record player I received is actually model CR249, which uses the NP-4 needle - not the CR49-TA, which uses the NP-1 needle. Once I finally got the right replacement needle, it plays fine - not great, not bad, but fine.

I bought this unit used and find it to be a good quality product. I have a bunch of old 78 rpm records my folks used to own and I wanted to play them again. I purchased the 78 rpm needle and installed it on my machine. It was a simple operation and I began to clean up and play the old records from my parents. It far exceeded my expectations and I think it was a great purchase. I recommend it to anybody who wants to plat the old days records. When I put some of the records on and listened to them, I could remember my folks dancing to the music when I was a child.
