I'm so glad I got this book for my daughter I think it will really help her. The language is in a format that they will understand and it's simple. The advice is spot-on excellent. I wish I'd had this book when I was younger! The quizzes are excellent! They have actual questions from kids their age with answers. And every topic has a friendship file that's kind of like a what happened what did she do and how it worked out case File.

I only read a few lines of the book, however, my thoughts were to provide tools (book) to help my young granddaughter. I trust the Pleasant Company concepts. I have read many other books that are based on the American Girl excellent reputation. Even at 9 years old she is experiencing Peer Pressure with friends, emotional roller coaster events and just trying to understand what to do in situations. Anything we can offer to help along with parental counsel is an asset. This will help to prepare them with "Life's Little Challenges!"

Having rasied 3 sons, then having a daughter... I learned girls are different. All the American girl books are great, I would suggest a daughter have all of them in her collection of books.. Very helpful to mom's too..
