"The Cake Mix Doctor" does it again, but this time with 200 dishes that can travel to such events as potlucks, picnics, fundraisers, cookouts, etc. The book contains everything from finger foods to salads, main dishes and desserts. Included are some great tote notes on how to transport big batches of food and a "grab and go" section for those of you who need something in a real hurry. I found the foods I prepared were very good and easy! Some of the recipes in the book are: Marie's White Bean and Basil Spread......Layered Crab Stack.....Midsummer's Night Pasta Salad....Creamy Spinach and Artichoke Casserole & Tres Leches Cake Piled with Strawberries.

What Can I Bring? Cookbook by Anne Byrn
I like this particular cookbook author. I have every cookbook written by this author. It is easy to use and I have prior experience with her other four cookbooks. I like the raves I get for people who try the recipe creations that I make plus her comments about each recipe especially from all her cake mix and cupcake doctor cookbooks. Her last one The Cake Mix Doctor Returns especially builds on her experience in improving her recipes and improvement of getting great results in baking. She states plainly what happens when you use cake mixes with pudding versus Duncan Hines in her last Cake Mix Doctor cookbook plus handy ingredient substitutions/measurements that are useful. The last cookbook I just bought gives great ideas for main dishes or desserts to bring to potlucks, picnics, church suppers, etc that are easy to make and bound to receive raves. People will want the recipe(s). They will probably want to buy any of Anne's cookbooks. I reccommend this title or any of her cookbooks -- I use them over and over and they have a permanent place in my vast cookbook library.Read full review

You will not regret getting this one!
After checking this cookbook out from the library and then discovering so many recipes I wanted to try it wasn't a question whether to buy it or not. I did buy it and I love it. I own approximately 300 other cookbooks (and have read about another 500 from the library). About 15 of my currently owned cookbooks rank up there with the very best. I was surprised that this particular cookbook was and is among those most useful and prized. Rarely do I bother to take the time rating any book, cookbook or otherwise, but this one deserves every one of those 5 stars!
