I was recently diagnosed as being diabetic and thought my world would come to an end without chocolate. Ebay offered me a buffet of diabetic cookbooks and this one is a gem. Some of the recipes aren't simple, but very doable. Great illustrations and easy to read print. This book has made chocolate a part of my life forever.
By using this chocolate diabetic cookbook you can still eat chocolate to stop the cravings and you can stay with your diet without be deprived. You just have to control the amount of chocolate you eat.

I love my chocolate but I am also very weight conscious and borderline diabetic as is my husband. In spite of that we were not ready to give up chocolate. This book is wonderful. The recipes are scrumptious. Each recipe gives the exchanges for each serving which is very important if you are Diabetic. One of my favorite recipes in the book is the Black Forest Brownies, they are to die for. I recommend this book for anyone who is Diabetic or borderline diabetic and not ready to give up their chocolate.
This cookbook is a marvel for diabetics everywhere! The recipes are fantastic and clearly explained - it's such a relief to have a reliable source of goodies! As the book was written in the 1980's, there are a couple of references to baker's paraffin (makes chocolate shiny apparently) which I didn't think sounded terribly edible. Anyhoo, I looked it up on the internet and you can substitute vegetable shortening instead and it's much better for you!
