S. Clay Wilson is a great artist I started following in the sixties. This book is an excellent representation of his work. He was part of the underground commix scene in San Francisco. I still have the original comics from that era but this book has his illustrations in large format and excellent paper. I recommend it very highly. They are not only hilarious but quite beautiful to study at length.
S. Clay Wilson is certainly not for everyone, but if you enjoyed underground comics from the 1970's you'll love this art book.

I love everything that S Clay (that's what I call him) has ever done. In my eyes he was the greatest underground comix artist that ever lived. I love my new book because it has some never before published stuff from S Clay. This man lived on the edge and the flavor of that comes through in his stories.
