Not only can you insert special cards into this fold-flat viewer, but this is designed so you can also view stereo pairs of pictures from Brian May's book as well! This is undoubtedly the best stereoscope to have been produced for many decades!

After years of using antique viewers to view stereoscopic cards I had hoped that a modern product would show some improvement - but it didn't. The Owl was uncomfortable on the nose having sharp plastic moulding edges; the range of focal length meant that I could only use it at its furthest extension, and my wife couldn't use it at all. The ;lack of side curtains meant annoying interference of light coming from the side. All in all, a very disappointing product. I'd rather spend the money and buy another antique viewer - and have, in fact done so!

I work at an archives and we like to take show and tell items to classrooms and need to make stereoviews available to researchers, but our vintage stereoscopes are often too fragile for regular use. I picked up two of these to make it easier for people to look at stereoviews and these are great for that. Solid enough to be handled by a variety of ages and affordable and vintage stereoview cards fit these well.

This stereographic viewer was designed and produced by Dr. Brian May, perhaps better known as the guitarist for the rock group, Queen, from the late 20th century. He sells it as a product on his website, London Stereographic Company, Ltd. Like those viewers from the mid-1800's, it is a relatively simple device that manages to provide a startlingly realistic 3-d view of our world, when looking at appropriately produced stereo photographs, whether old or new.

Simple to use and, best of all, can be opened flat for easy storage. Solid, quality plastic. If you're a 3-D enthusiast it's a no-brainer.
