This is an absolutely awful product. I selected this over the character-based child walkie-talkies based on the greater claimed range and the AT&T brand. I should have reminded myself of why I don't use AT&T for other services anymore. No volume control, no squelch control and the sound is unintelligible. The "flashlight" is a lame yellow LED. The "Morse Code" requires holding down the talk switch and simultaneously pressing the tone button . I was not only disappointed by the performance but, embarrassed that I gave these as a gift to a four year old. I'm now on the hunt for something that a young child can operate and actually understand what they're saying. These are destined for the garbage. Only now do I realize that I should have retrieved the long-life batteries I installed in them. Those batteries are worth more to me than these garbage walkie-talkies.Read full review
