What can I say? This is the animated version of that indomitable little toy tug boat that wants to see the world. Although in the book, it is the boy's father that gives him the tug boat and also retrieves him at the end of his Scuffy's journey to the sea, in the animated version it is the boy's uncle, which gives the story a dimension that we haven't pondered yet. Also, the scene where Scuffy floats past the city that is built up to the river's edge on pilings, is much more dramatic on film. Watch this film for real cartoon excitement.
I saw this movie as a child. They don't make it anymore so I decided to buy it for 99 cents. When I watched it again I had so many memories come back!! It was cool. Now my kids can watch the same movie I saw as a kid!
I certainly enjoyed this video because it reminds me of my own dreams. I was a very young child who watched it so many times and I now have it synced onto my video ipod. I still enjoy it now as an adult! You will enjoy it; guaranteed!
Looking for my friend. Cheaper then others ones that I was looking at. I wish I could of find it on dvd.
