What a wonderful idea for someone who loves this very special musical, The Sound of Music. It has everything you'd want including a music box that plays "my favorite things," special edition DVD, soundtrack, photos and a book about the movie and the real Von Trapp family. is my sister's favorite musical and I bought it for her as a Christmas gift. I can hardly wait to see her face when she unwraps the beautiful presentation box that contains all of these goodies! I was very impressed and would recommend it to anyone whoe is fond of The Sound of Music.

A fantastic gift set for someone or just for yourself. The reprint from the original record album is a great part of this collection. When viewing the movie you really appreciate the outside views/scenes as they are clear and picturesque. My VHS was wearing out and never had the quality of this blu-ray quality. I highly recommend this disc set. The Sound of Music was just recently redone with Carrie Underwood as Maria. Although there were pluses and the show seemed to mirror the Broadway version, one still appreciates the original movie and there will never be another Julie Andrews or Eleanor Parker (the Baroness). Truly a forever Classic!
