The way that Ms Gabaldon delves into the lives of her characters leaves the reader with anticipation for more details on these characters. The historical value, which she has thoroughly researched, is augmented within and about the lives of her beloved couple their family and friends. I was totally pleased with the ongoing interest in the characters and the historical importance of the book. As an avid book reader since young childhood, this series is the best I've ever read and captivates the reader (me) in so many ways that I cannot bear to see the story end.. but end it will . I do hope that I live long enough to be able to read the final chapters of this amazing storyline.

The book was hard to put down read it steadily until done. I love the humor with which the author uses making me laugh out loud at times. Some of the battles were a bit boring but I am hooked on this series.

I am currently reading the entire Gabaldon opus, big books and off-shoots, for the third time. Knowing what's coming, I come to a greater appreciation of the foreshadowing and seemingly random bits that she has placed so artfully. I read primarily on my Kindle, but felt compelled to have Gabaldon on my bookshelves as well. She's worth the space!

The last of Diana Gabaldon's books so far. I just loved it. Such active characters with historical backgrounds. Interesting and unable to put in down, even when it was done, I carried to book around and held it close to me. Crazy right? Loved it, every word!

All of the books in the Outlander are Great. This is book 8, and you should read them in order: Outlander Dragonfly in Amber Voyager Drums of Autumn The Fiery Cross Breath of Snow and Ashes An Echo in the Bone Written in My Own Hearts Blood I am on my second time through the books. Don’t read paperbacks, this story needs multiple readings in order to get the hidden meanings and hints. Diana Gabaldon writes in layers like an onion that needs to be peaked slowly. Enjoy the story, I have.
