This is a great reference book for anyone interested in or talking about the D-Day landings on Omaha Beach, 6 June 1944. I am a living historian with a local museum and give lectures in full costume regarding the Allied Assault on occupied France during WWII. I have found this book to be a great source of material and a look into some of the ordinary men that did extraordinary feats on that fateful morning in 1944. I would recommend this book to other living historians, WWII re-enactors, or anyone interested in WWII history. I found this book to not only be informative, but also inspiring and very insightful. The men featured in the book along with every other man that took part in the invasion are heroes in the truest sense of the word and this book brings out the detail like no other I've read. I highly recommend this book.Read full review
