The dazzling arms and armor at the Wallace Collection have always been legendary and this book for those who are fascinated by such things certainly does it proud. The colour plates are terrific and you can spend a long time studying the detail of a pommel or a scabbard or a helmet even....|9780900785931|, The selection of masterpieces is exactly right, and if you could do a touring international exhibition of arms and armour from the Wallace Collection, this is what you would choose. Despite all of the other publications, there is room for this one (though you should really have all the others as well), and if you need just one, buy this one. Toby has done a terrific job in selecting, writing and getting this fine book published.
