If you like the true crime niche, Ann Rule's books and AMW on TV...then this is the book for you. With the tenacity of a bulldog, Detective Oldham has held on, linking many open or cold cases to establish a pattern of duplicity and corruption that rocks open the underground world to expose two retired NYPD upper echelon cops and the work they did on behalf of the mob. Far reaching in it's scope of implications, this is a great book and should open your eyes to what power in the wrong hands can do. I love the detailed research, the personal/intimate tone of the book. Why did I buy this book? Originally I had gotten it from the Queens Library but someone stole my entire backpack from a tour bus while I was giving a tour on a Gray Lines Bus. I bought the book to replace the stolen book!!
A completely engrossing book! Very difficult to put down. Fascinating characters and truly non-fictional. I highly recommend this book!
