I love this book. I needed it for a U.S. History survey course, and it is just perfect. It's small and paperback, so it's lightweight and concise. The material itself, by Eric Foner, is packed with information, but isn't too wordy like other books. It is organized in a way that is easy to understand, and includes interesting graphics and primary sources. It's definitely one of the best U.S. history books I've ever had for a class.
I bought this textbook for my History 101 class and it is excellent because it looks at the global BIG picture of American History and not just the local events that happened then! The textbook begins with four Chapters showing the events that occured long before the Revolution.
Good book. Not difficult to read and keeps you pretty interested. Used it for my history class.Much cheaper to buy here than anywhere else. Especially book store prices in colleges are much more expensive.
needed it for a college class. price was good and seems to be interestng. you make your reviews to long...you need to shorten them expecially when it is for a college course.
I needed this book for my history class. I really enjoyed it. It is very detailed and is written for everyone to understand it. The book holds your attention. I couldn't put it down.
