Although merely 168 pages in length, it covers a large volume of material. Included are discussions on various topics from Alexandria in the North to the old Abu Smbel in the South. The time line reaches from the First Dynasty through the Second Persian Period--from 3000 BC to nearly the time of Christ. I was impressed with the quality of the paper. All pages were semi glossy instead of just the pages containing photos. Included in the illustrations was an enhancement giving the timeworn Sphinx a computerized face-lift. Actually the book, in various ways, would hold the interest of all age groups. Due to the amount of material covered, many aspects only touch upon the surface of a given topic.

I LOVE Egyption books that tell me all about the history and give maps. I didn't like that that it said in the war the enemy blew and shot up some of the Egyptians Treasures and Temples. To learn more about the details of this wonderful Egyptian Book.
