As a low ball hitter, my G10 irons give me much higher ball flight than my 2006 BB irons did along with a much tighter shot pattern. As a result, I am hitting more greens and my misses have mostly been the result of misalignment on my part. My distance is slightly shorter with each iron than with my BB irons due to getting higher carry on each shot and less than one foot of roll upon hitting the green. Small price to pay for more consistency! I should also add that I have had the lie & loft of each iron checked and have modified the higher irons to a flatter lie beginning with the 6 iron (neutral), 7 & 8 Iron (1 degree flat), and my 9 iron & PW (2 degrees flat) to fit my swing. My handicap is 8 and I am almost 60 years old with a swing speed in the 96 - 98 range. One other advantage I have found so far is my chip shots seem to run a lot straighter with the G10 irons versus the BB irons. I would note that I still use a forged 55 degree sand wedge and a forged 60 degree lob wedge for all other short shots within 100 yards. This is the first set of Pings I have owned in probably 20 years and are much improved over the Ping Zings I previously owned. I was also surprised that the AWT regular steel shafts felt as good as they did after having played graphite shafts the past 3 years in my BB irons. I am getting a lot more birdie putts since switching to the G10 irons and would like to have discovered these irons a lot sooner!Read full review
I am 62 years old and have owned almost every brand of clubs out there. After playing with them all one thing became very clear, you get what you pay for. I am pleased to say that I have just purchased my second set of ping g 10's ( graphite shafts this time ) . I have tried Cobra's, Callaway's ,etc. etc. including ping eye 2's , ping zing's , ping eye i 3's , and ping g 15's. All of these sets have their attributes BUT the G 10's stand out above them all. These are the most forgiving, have the softest feel and are very easy clubs to hit! My 4 iron( 210 yards average) is back in my bag after 5 years of trying hybrids. I can say honestly that I have found the golden fleece of golf clubs and I am headed back to a single digit handicap again! Bravo G 10's !!!!!
1st I went on the Ping website and got fitted so I knew what club line and color code would be best for me, VERY IMPORTANT! Love love love these clubs!! Im about a 25 handicap, and with the G10's I hit straighter and a little longer than I did with my previous Tommy Armour 855 Silverscotts. A wonderful upgrade.

I bought these clubs because I was looking for newer clubs cause my clubs are 12 yrs. old ,being a single diget handicap tought I should upgrade. They are very easy to hit and very forgiving. Now being 52 years of age I wasn't hitting my old forged irons as sharp as i used to,and these pings counter react my faults. Good feel and pleasing to the eye at setup....Good purchase on my part.
