I have checked out this book from the library many times and then one day I finally decided I should just buy a copy. This book is wonderful for someone learning modern Hebrew to expand their vocabulary. Most of the book is dedicated to learning nouns but their are also other sections (usually one or two pages each) which are focused on opposites (big/small, fat/thin, etc), infinitive verbs, prepositions, shapes, colors, numbers, pronouns, occupations, and more. Every word has a silly picture to go with it to aid the visual learner. And since it only uses pictures and has the Hebrew word written in Hebrew underneath it, anyone from anywhere around the world can learn from this book, not just fluent english speakers. There is a roman alphabet transliteration under every Hebrew word so that those who have not learned to read or write in Hebrew yet can start learning vocabulary right away. There is also a glossary in the back of the book in case you need to look up how to say a specific word, or if you cannot figure out what the picture is actually referring to. I highly recommend this book to anyone desiring to learn modern Hebrew. peace שלוםRead full review
