The book is well-written and documented, with a writing style that's easy to understand. My Vizsla, CoCoa, was diagnosed with Oral Melanoma several weeks ago and the outlook was grim. Not only was conventional medicine (surgery, radiation, chemo) disfiguring and painful, the prognosis for life espectancy was not particularly lengthened. So I have been researching absolutely everything I can find in the areas of holistic/natural/alternative medicine. This book has been a great help, and I'd recommend it to anyone in circumstances similar to mine. By the way, CoCoa is still active, shows no sign of pain, and has a normal appetite (no weight loss). She will be 13 years old in August.
I am a person that likes choices in my heathcare and would rather be pro-active that re-active to my health. I never realized how many choices are available to people enduring the plague of the 20th century. My father passed away from Cancer 4 years ago and then my aunt 2 years ago and I wish I had some of this knowledge back then. A fresh approach and alternative methods are definately needed.
