What I like about this book is that it tells, mostly through the accounts of those who were part of it, the legendary Brooklyn Dodgers from 1938 to 1957, as well as the chicanery of one Walter O'Malley in regard to moving this beloved team from "the Greatest Borough of All". The accounts of those who were part of the team, as well as those who knew those players, coaches and managers, are the core of this honest book, and are well worth the reading. You cannot go wrong with this book, and I heartily recommend it to anyone who has a soft spot in their hearts for legendary sports teams of the past.
A good book about a bygone era.
