This is an extremely rare large antique handmade late 17th century wrought iron skeleton key door lockhardware.the whole piece is completely wrought by hand out of thick iron and has acquired a wonderful patina from age.it has a hole and shaft for a skeleton key but does not have one.the keywould operate the large spring loaded dual spring loaded locking arm.the side of the hardware also has nicely engraved detailing.the piece is in nice working conditionmeasuring 9 1/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches by 2 inches thick.very rare handmade lock.

buyer is responsible to file insurance claims via USPS, if package arrives broken or damaged, due to USPS\'s new policies the broken or damaged package has to be present when filing claims.
