For your consideration is an original French DeposeFrame from Paris ornately decorated with ribbon, cross bow torches andleaves. The frame has substantial weight and I am guessing its either cast iron or brass. The glass is not original, has little chips in the corners (not visible though)and slides a bit but itwill suffice if you chose not to replace the glass. The back of the frame attests to its old age. The metal is well worn however glimpses of brass stillpeek through. So it is safe to say the cabinet back IS brass. Also note that the easel back is intact and works just fine.The frame measures 51/2\" by 51/4\". The photo is a reprint of a Ziegfeld Folly actress, c1915-1920.
