Up for sale is this old vintage Wales, ceramic Oil Lamp base. There is a label on the bottom that reads \"Wales, Reg U.S. pat. off, MADE IN JAPAN\". There are applied Pink Roses around the sides that are made of a Hard plastic, (I think its bakelite). These flowers may have been applied to this later. They can be removed if desired. I am leaving this as it is, and the buyer can do what they want with it. The top outer diam measures 1-1/4\" diam so you can fit a new lamp top to this... There is a little hair line crack about 1 inch long on the side near bottom, I believe this was from mfg, and a small imperfection spot near one of the pink roses, appears as a black dot. also I see a very thin glaze flake. None of these distracts from the Beauty of this piece. It is still stunning and would make a nice addition to any collection. OVERALL MEASURES APPROX 3-3/8\" tall x 2-3/8\" diam.
