pre 1900 French automation industrial train clock:

This clock I believe to be French firstly because I was told that it was and second it has a plate with a name and ET Paris (see pictures) thus I believe it French. It has been restored by a professional twice to myknowledge the last time being 2013This clock is 27 inches long 7 inches at its widest point and almost 14 inches high at the top of roof, It has an 8 day strikingFrench movement dates between 1850 and 1890 it strikes the hours and half hours on a gong (see pictures) it has a barometer that works although i do not know how accurate it is. (see pictures) it has a chain driven skeletonised fusee movement mounted below the boiler (see pictures) this movement is activated on the hour and drives the wheels. all in all a very nice thing

I have been asked lots of questions about this clock so as best I can ill answer all .the French movement mentioned in the description dates between 1850 and 1890 It has a ( pendulum not original ) and strikes a gong. it keeps reasonable time . the face has got a small crack but as you can see from the pictures it is not bad .
On the hour it strikes a gong at the same time the wheels turn so that the train looks like its moving
I am going to add some pictures today have a look.
