Up for saleis a pre-WWI US Army/USMC AEF Officer\'sCanvas Puttee\'s orLeggins Set. This set isin MINT Unissued Condition. They have never been worn. They have a 1907 Date stamped on them. They ar a light Khaki Color. See photo\'s for details. It will be a long time before you find another set like these.
CanvasLegginswere common in the US Armyfrom the Spanish American War Era up through WWII. This is an early design for Cavalry Officers.It is a wrap around style with a singlecanvas strap the secure the leggins. These were made without afoot strap. There is a size 1marking. This style was used during the 1907 to 1914 period. This isan unusual set of leggins.
This would make an interesting addition to your WWI Collection. These are missing from most WWI Collections.
