as pictured, approx 1 1/4\" not including the metal shell, I want to mention that there are a few very slight spots, including one at about 3:15 on the pin by FDR\'s shoulder, a tiny dot between the Lewis picture and the word \"Our\", possibly from the printing, though you have to look pretty hard to notice. But you should be aware that it\'s not perfect. Also, I\'ve not taken the \"shell\" off to inspect the pin, but there doesn\'t appear to any issues around the edge, which is visible on the back. I\'m glad to see upon double-checking that the photo shows all thisall this said, I\'ve found this pin to be very elusive, and wish I could have had a lower starting offer, but I had to pay a lot for it. The reference to Lewis and FDR makes this most likely from the 1936 presidential campaign, since Lewis shocked everyone by backing Wilkie in 1940. A top notch New Deal, coal miners\', CIO and pro-labor piece in my opinion. This being so \"pricy\", please ask if you want to offer and need more time to pay for it, I\'m sure we could work it out
