A superb antique solid silver egg shaped vinaigrette with pierced hols and working screw top lid,

This super item measure s approx 2.7 cm s high and is 1.9 cm s wide , the lid unscrews to open and close, the inside does not appear gilded it may have been in the past and worn , weight is approx 4 grams, most of the body marks could be lifted by a jeweler as the metal is thin I have left it as found,

there are 2 small marks that appear out of the punched hole line close to the rim edge that appear as fixings for the inner rim they may be hallmarks as they do not go through the metal ? they can be seen on a close up photo,
