Item: stunningCased set of Solid Silver WWI, 1915 SouvenirSpoons. A cased set of French SolidSilver Spoons six in total, each spoons depicts a town in France, each spoonhas beautiful decoration to both stem and finials and also carries French hallmarksto the inside of the bowl. The finial ofeach spoon carries a different towns coat of arms and has the town’s nameinscribed to the centre of each bowl. Comes with an original card in side fromMr Alex S Duncan, 14 Argyll and Sutherlands highlanders, this was a regimentthat fought during the first world war, and I believe these spoons werebrought back to the UK as a souvenir. Thecase in which they sit is of a red leatherette outer finishing, silk paddedlining to roof, velvet base. A wonderful set of spoons made during thefirst WWI. Wonderful historic item.

Condition: lightsurface marks consistent with age and genuine use. Spoons are in wonderfulcondition. Box has scuff marks to insideand out, padding slightly frayed to the joint, catch in perfect working order
