offered is an fabulous late 1930\'s art deco cartier sterling silver automatic table petrol lighter. the solid sterling silver paris workshop made lighter features a modernistic streamline ribbed body design with twist out insert mechanism. the small action release knob features a wonderful cabochon ruby in the center. the cartier swivel automatic mechanism is quite unusual and i\'ve shown the photo of a similar model from the bisconcini lighter book. the lighter is marked cartier paris with numerous cartier and sterling silver hallmarks as seen in photos. the lighter measures 2-3/8\" tall x 2-1/4\" across and is in very good to excellent lite used condition. there is a small bottom rim dent as seen in photo. it slightly detracts but might come out. the silver has mild tarnish that will clean to sparkle. the lighter mechanism has a strong snap up action and should work with proper service of flint and fuel. this extremely rare cartier lighter is all original - quite showy and superb quality. overall - an important vintage 1930\'s luxury made cartier desk lighter for the best of collections. this vintage 1930\'s cartier lighter is one of the finest table automatic lighters ever offered on . the photos show reflections and the cartier looks better in person. usa is insured registered priority. overseas is usps express airmail with self insurance. **please make sure to read my vintage lighter articles on the internet and in blaze lighter magazine. **please view all the quality vintage lighters-ronsons- dunhill-and 20th century deco modern i offer this week on .
