an extremely fineand rare silver and enamel pendant by william hutton & sons and designed by archibald knox,(it is well documented the liberty\'s sold off designs tobuttons and this one is illustrated in the liberty & co japanese exhibition catalogue),it haswonderfulenamels in shaded blue & green which are typical of the art nouveau & arts & crafts period,it is of superbqualityand would have been sold through high end retailers like the liberty & costore in londons regent streetas part of the cymric range orconnells of cheapside,there were several designers using this medium of design and decoration during this era,amongst those the most notable were,jessie m king,murrle bennett,charles hornerand james fenton.the pendant is fully marked with the london assay marks and date letter c for 1902,it also carries the huttons cypher, it measures 1.5\" top to bottom excluding the suspension chains and is hung from an 18\" chain with a ringbolt clasp,with no damage or repair the overall condition shouldbe considered as superb,please feel free to ask any questions and i will reply within 24hours,this is a genuine piece and should not be mistaken for the unmarked copies and reproduction items offered on .postage is by special delivery in the u.k and airsure or signed for to international destinations.this is the last of these lovely spoons i have available so grab it now there are no more.
