Offered for sale is a particularly scarce Royal Doulton Pansy pattern teapot D4049. This is what I would consider to be a 4 cup teapot.Collectors will have seen many cups and saucers, plates and other bits and pieces - rarely will you ever see a Teapot in this highly collectable seriesware pattern. Normally teapots get broken and soiled through age and use (which not everyone could afford back in the day when the Pansy was released in the art deco 1930\'s era - so they are a scarce accessory).This piece is free from chips, cracks, soiling and repairs. It has fine clean crazing to base and lid but no soiling.Approximately 23 centimeters or 9 inches across (from spout tip to handle end).
