This is an unissued M-1A1 Carbine folding stock. There are a few chips in the walnut. I have provided photos of these areas. Other than that, the stock, frame and leather is in great condition. The wood where the frame folds is stamped R. I. I can see the number \"3\" near this. I assume it has a 4 before this and this stock was produced in 1943. I don\'t think I want to unscrew the frame from the wood to be certain. I\'m not sure if R.I. signifies Rock Island arsenal or not? Feel free to ask any questions or to educate.

I have received a few emails regarding the stock. I have been told this is not a WWII stock, that the metal parts are reproductions. I do not know. The stock has never been used. It has not been fitted to a gun. I have looked closely for other markings or stamps. The one mark I see is the R.I. 3. There is NOT a 4 before the number 3. I cannot provide more pictures in the listing but I am willing to send more photos to those interested. There is not a \"Buy It Now\" price. Thanks for your interest. Feel free to ask any questions.
