Offered is a vintage WWII lighter. I believe this is a ZIPPO, but I am not 100% certain as Ican not find any maker info on the lighter. Nonetheless, this lighter is obviously special. It has been in my collection for some time, but have decided it is time tolet another collector enjoy it as Ihave.Ibought this from an antique dealer who had acquired abox ofWWII items and sold everything in bits and pieces, howeverthe antique dealer set aside thelighter.Some time later, I was lucky enough to purchase the lighter. I was toldthe lighter belonged to a one-star General during WWII. Hedid not know the guys name for sure, but thought the last namemight have beenClark??? Lighter wheel spins with tension but does not spark. There are 14 holes in the chimney. There are 4 barrel hinges. Top and bottom are rounded but bottom has a slight dent in the middle. All corners are rounded. The finish is unique, as it does not resemble the black crackle of other Zippos of the period. This does not look like crackle at all?? The gold colored star is firmly attached to the lighter. There is no doubt this lighter will continue to display well. Please ask questions if more info is needed.
